Speakers, Lawrence Henze of Blackbaud Analytics and Elizabeth Crabtree from Brown University for this final seminar in APRA's 2004 Virtual Seminar Series. This two hour program will explore the roles that wealth analysis, demographics, psychographics, intrinsic relationships and historical
patterns in giving and volunteering play in both understanding current levels of activity and predicting future behavior and potential. A demonstration of suitable rating techniques, formulas and scoring methods for a variety of purposes will be covered, including:
* Gift capacity ratings for annual, major and planned giving fund raising
* Propensity indicators for special initiative fund raising
* Affinity scoring for volunteer service, event attendance, program participation, etc.
* Segmentation strategies for target marketing and communications
Lawrence C. Henze, J.D., managing director of Blackbaud Analytics, is the founding partner of two prospect screening firms and an expert in market research for nonprofits.
Elizabeth Crabtree is the director of Prospect Development at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she has responsibility for advancement and market research, prospect management and tracking systems, volunteer engagement, as well as campaign planning and management.
