Planned Giving Prospects:
What You Don't Know May Surprise You
This session challenges some of the traditional notions
about who is a planned giving prospect. It examines donors in
various life stages and demonstrates how a planned gift can address
certain challenges and financial obstacles to their making larger gifts
to your institution. You will learn about some less familiar
planned gifts, outside the usual bequests and annuities, and begin to
recognize opportunities where a blended giving strategy might help
younger donors and entrepreneurs enhance their current giving.
CO-PRESENTERS:
Heather Ebner and Robert Sweet, Vassar College
Heather Ebner is the Advisor for Gift Planning at Vassar College.
She served as the director of Vassar's gift planning program for more
than 6 years and frequently lectures at major and planned giving
seminars. As a consultant, she also works with other non-profit
organizations to help strengthen and better integrate their major and
planned giving programs.
Robert Sweet is the current Director of Gift Planning for Vassar
College. Robert has been with Vassar for nine years. He
began his career at Vassar as a Leadership Gifts Officer, but migrated
over time into gift planning.
