Scholarship Program:

Dear APRA of Greater New York Member,

As you know, one of the most essential benefits of chapter membership has been the scholarship to the annual APRA International Conference, held in various locations nationwide. For many years, one winner a year received a scholarship covering the conference fee, and his/her organization would subsidize travel and lodging costs.

While the importance of the APRA International Conference as a professional tool for growth remains unchanged, in 2004 we decided to "kick off" a new scholarship tradition. We asked you, the Chapter membership, to "choose your own" - that is, apply for an educational grant to an APRA-approved, training session of your choice, one that suited your learning needs best.

We are pleased to invite you to apply for a one-time educational grant to any Greater New York APRA-approved conference, training, workshop, class, or seminar that you would like to attend, from April 1 through December 31. Again, we leave the decision to you! Just note that the deadline for all applications is April 1.

We are excited to lead this project once again with the full support of the APRA board of directors, who will vote the winner. Please contact us at scholarships@apragny.org for an application and general guidelines. We urge you to apply for a training opportunity that works for you, with the support of Greater New York APRA!
