POP TALK: Higher Education

In partnership with Foundation Center in New York, APRA GNY presents the Point on Prospecting (PoP) Talks, interactive conversations that feature experts from within the nonprofit community collaborating on an array of subjects. 

The greater New York area is host to more than a thousand public and private colleges and universities, all of which have unique development challenges and ambitious fundraising goals. Nine-figure gifts to higher education and 10-figure campaigns have been in the headlines in recent years, but below the fold has been a downward trend in alumni participation. We invite all ranks of staff from higher ed fundraising shops, from directors of prospect research to alumni relations to front line major gift officers, to join a conversation on best practices in young alumni engagement, parent fundraising, and identifying non alumni (“town” or "friend") prospects. And, of course, how to identify, cultivate, and solicit your next 9-figure gift!
